No. I've been lucky. My last contacts with affected friends were well before their symptoms appeared. But it certainly lights a fire under one to remain vigilant.

I just learned that two people in my business referral group are in the hospital with Covid. Both are nearly 70 and one of them is on a ventilator.

The first guy is someone I've known for some 35 years and has been something of a mentor to me.

The guy on the ventilator used to complain loud and long that the whole thing is a hoax.

This morning I got news that Tom, my friend and mentor for some 35 years, died of Covid overnight. I never got to tell him how much he affected my life.
