We have 4 bird feeders on a porch outside our kitchen table window. A little further away but still very visible from the kitchen, we have a foot square platform suspended from a pole that we fill with unsalted peanuts for the squirrels, chipmunks, crows, and birds.

We also scatter peanuts on the grass near that feeder for our woodcheck, Wilbur, who comes for three meals a day.
Do you feed any critters?

When we're in Santa Fe, we fill feeders in our enclosed garden. Here's a photo of one of my favorite visitors. They really go for peanuts in the shell.




In Williamsburg, we have bird feeders that have become squirrel feeders. Like Mark Rober, we can't keep them away! We coat our peanut splits in red chili liquid. They love it!

Saw a chickadee the other day. It was the first I have seen a in a few years.
There were chickadees, juncos, camp robbers and Stellar's Jays a few years ago. There were also ravens and magpies.
Then they were gone. Comments on a local's Facebook page mentioned the absence.
Have been putting feed on a balcony rail. That is where I saw the chickadee and an unfamiliar bird.
On a day in October I will notice that they are all gone for the winter.
In Tucson my hummingbird feeder will draw woodpeckers and hummingbirds.

Yep. Mostly sunflower seed feeders, one finch feeder, three hummingbird feeders. We have suet feeders and others that we use from time to time, but these are the main ones. We have hickories and oaks so the squirrels get plenty of nuts.

This year we've discovered what finches just LOVE. Woodpeckers do too so they are leaving our house alone, which makes it all worthwhile.

I feed one outdoor cat who lives nextdoor. He doesn't need the food but comes over because he knows I'll do it. I gave a can of tuna fish last night. He's not unfriendly but won't come near me. I honestly think he's stupid. Then again he had the choice to live inside nextdoor, decided to live outside, and is being fed every day nextdoor and occasionally by me. So he's not lacking in survival skills.

I miss the edit feature.

I gave the stupid cat tuna fish again. It isn't slices when you open the can. It looks like cat puke. Yeah, I could eat it if Zi were hungry enough. I'm not.

I hope the owners of the cat next door are aware of you feeding their cat and approve.

A new cat has been around and seems like the friendliest one yet. I don't know what it is about cats around here but they keep their distance. This doesn't apply to my next door neighbor. They love her. I had two cats at different places in HI who fell in love with me and vice versa. One was ancient. I considered "stealing" him. His "owners" left him for 1 1/2 years. I decided he would be better in his familiar environment and he had a young cat who was his constant companion. I taught the young one how to massage his spine. The other was an orange male who was as affectionate as could be. I'd pick him up-- he'd wrap his arms around me and hug me like a child. I kind of regret not taking him with me but my cat was besides herself with jealously. I might adopt an affectionate orange male cat if one came here. I'd take it to a vet immediately but I don't want to travel or pay. Both those cats in HI knew I was moving a good two or there weeks before I moved and got so angry they stopped having anything to do with me. Anyway, this new cat isn't a real contender, but I fed him tuna fish just the same.

Yes, Jack. As a matter of fact, the lady next door is a good neighbor. She and I have had extensive discussions about the neighborhood cats.

Our woodchuck, Wilbur, has stopped coming around. I’m afraid one of many neighborhood dogs got him, or perhaps a neighbor with a gun. We miss him.
