Gallery mate went on trip with lots of family, some of them have since tested positive for Covid, but his test was negative. He helped hang a show today and I stood pretty close to him, unmasked while measuring and hanging pieces on the wall. He got home and the hospital called with an “oops, we made a mistake, you tested positive.” Shame on me for not wearing a mask… (nobody does here, I am one of the only ones that wears them in the grocery stores, besides the employees).
Oh no. on the bright side, you got to do your holiday travel before this happened.
You'll no doubt be getting a call from the health department to quarantine, if your gallery mate reports you as a close contact. Since you've been vaccinated you just need to get tested in the next 5-7 days and wear a mask when indoors in public for the 14 days since your contact with them.
If you were close to them for less than 15 minutes then you won't be considered a close contact.
Ugh. This sucks. You've been through too much Covid already. Sorry this happened.

We were in very pretty close proximity for at least 15 minutes, we were in the space ( in a small local restaurant) for 2 hours. I’m more worried about him than me, he’s in his late 80’s! I understand he is testing again tomorrow and will get an infusion(?) if he is still positive. We were all (but one) there hanging the show, and I’m the youngest member!
