It took "gloppy." Big Grin

But not "nappy" or "poopy" Frowner

I subscribe, for the crosswords. I'm not particularly good at Spelling Bee. If I write the words out in a line I am better, but the shape of the puzzle kind of throws me. Weird.

Best money I've spent on entertainment in a long time. Not only do you get access to all the puzzles, but also archived crossword puzzles. If I'm stuck anywhere there's some puzzle I can work on.

Are they allowing four-letter words now?

Yes.

Oh wait, do you mean curse words? If so, no.

But other four letter words (like "bill" etc.) get one point.

I emailed a while back to complain when they didn't accept the word "fallboard" WhoMe

I get the physical paper, and the instructions mandate 5 or more letters.

Ha! I got today’s letterboxed in two words! The bee thing is hard, haven’t managed genius yet. And I’m always surprised at the easy words in miss with that one.

So I was getting to Genius almost every day, then recently I was noticing suddenly I hardly ever got to Genius, and as I thought about it, it seems to correspond with when I started a jazz/blues piano method and I'm teaching myself blues patterns and also improvising. I wonder if that's why???

If so, then I guess maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks, but the dog can only perform one trick at a time???

When I start a new puzzle I see how many words I can get in the first minute or so. If I can’t get at least 3 or 4, I know it would be a slog and time sink to spend a lot of time on it. At least that’s my take on it.
