Couldn't you also keep the hammers and tuning pin lines straight also, *if* you scaled wire appropriately to keep tensions relatively uniform and smooth and just play with the length and mass of the strings?

I believe those are crocheted doilies glued on it. My mother use to make them. There is a lot of work in each one. | |||
