Poulenc's complete works for 2 pianos. Love Derwinger and Roland Pöntinen at the piano. Great CD!

Rawlins Cross - Celtic Instrumentals

If you are into Irish or Celtic music at all, this album's a must have. The band's named after a busy intersection in downtown St. John's, not far from the residence of a certain new mother we all know. Wink

Calling Matt!! Did you recommend Camille at some point? I picked up a CD for JF after having done some on-line music browsing before Christmas for gift ideas. He recognized the CD as one you had recommended. I was just listening to it. Fantastic! I love her voice, and innovative style.

My first and still favorite MS album.

My best friend in HS got this for me in 1979 when it was released.

I have not listened to it in years! Maybe decades!

Wow! I forgot how much I really like this album. It is a great collection of modern classical music and a combo of modern and period instruments.

Some very fine Ravel - and got to be a record of the month from many publications

Sadly, it now appears that many, if not all, of the recordings that have been attributed to this artist are fake.

This is a recording by the legendary conductor Takashi Asahina. I first heard him in Bruckner - which was his specialty - but his Brahms is also quite special. I only wish it were easier to obtain his music.

Now I remember why I used to consider this the greatest work in all of classical music. I still do.
