| This doesn't really answer your question, but I assume that, in the end, it will come down to whether it's possible to slice off enough Republicans in the House. McCarthy can't support a clean debt limit increase, it would be the end of his speakership. So, are there enough reasonable Republicans who are willing to vote with the Democrats and risk having Trump insult them and try to primary them? I don't know. |
