Vintage Thanksgiving ads
quote:
Wishing you a great Thanksgiving.

Take a look at these Thanksgiving advertisements from the 1940s onward, full of charm, old-school sensibility, and plain old odd food choices that made up the last several decades.

Some interesting tidbits semi-hidden in the posters.
Also some cringeworthy stereotypes..

What could be more vintage than Jello salad for Thanksgiving?

A while back, Mary Anna (I think) mentioned a cherry Coke jello mold that is part of her family's food history. I found the recipe online and went as far as buying the black cherry Jello, but never got around to actually making it. Maybe for Christmas...

We've had this little book for years; we got it from the Haidl home (see the What is this? tool thread).

Let me know if you want any of the recipes. Big Grin
