Please, if you can... there are far healthier alternatives than palm oil. It's also wreaking havoc on the environment. Rainforests are being clear-cut in order to grow palms for palm oil. This is a massive loss of habitat, including habitat for highly endangered species like the orangutan. A good, relatively inexpensive and healthy alternative might be sunflower oil, which also has the benefit of a really high burn point (or whatever you call it--it doesn't burn until it gets really, really hot).
