A funeral for fish and chips: why are Britain’s chippies disappearing?

Plenty of people will tell you the East Neuk of Fife in Scotland is the best place in the world to eat fish and chips. So what happens when its chippies – and chippies across the UK – start to close?

Now I’m craving fish and chips….

The industry is not dead so the the use of the word, "funeral" seems like hyperbole to me.

Forgive me if the showed a causal link between its present state and its imminent demise.

I might be wrong but I did not see it.

Individuals, families, and small businesses in the UK and in the US are bearing outrageous costs.

It is disgusting.

That is sad. Fish and chips have been around a long time.
Saturday a food truck from On The Hook was in town. I get an email when they are going to be here. Great fish and chips. We rarely miss it.
