Cook County Hospital repurposed
Historic hospital in Chicago closed in 2002. I had no idea what happened to it.


I saw this story on the news tonight and was amazed by what they’ve done with the building.

That’s so cool. I lived a block or two from there in 1979-81. (Dorms at the U of I medical center)

I don’t remember the names. There was a great Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Rose something, maybe. I’ll have to google.

Nope, I was wrong. Mama Sues was where we went. I think the rosebud was the expensive place that we went sometimes.
