I don’t go to high school. I’m not subject to their dress code, and perhaps the principal needs a lesson in the First Amendment.

Translation: You're gonna have to pry Quirt's Daisy Dukes out of his cold, dead hands.

It’s really an issue of petty tyrants seeking to exert control.

I had the same issue with high school teachers who required parents to sign something (other than a field trip form). Here, sign that you agree to comply with the rules of my classroom. Uh, sorry, I’m not in your classroom. My kid is subject to those rules; I am not.

If id gotten that letter, id be wearing a shower cap to school every day for drop off and pick up. Id keep it in the car and put it on when I got to the school.

I’d be teaching my kids that petty tyrants don’t get to tell you what to do.

I absolutely, 100% would gather my gang of moms and descend on that place in bathrobes, slippers, and rollers if I had kids there. I think holding a rolling pin would add a nice touch. Big Grin

I'll see your shower cap and raise you a set of hair rollers, flip flops, and a low-cut blouse.

These standards are racist and sexist. Many of the banned items are things women wear.

Many of the banned items are things African American women are likely to wear (many of us sleep in hair bonnets, and if you don't have time to do your hair, you may have to just go out with that bonnet on your head).

Geez.
