As the article I linked to above noted, Israel's civvy death per combatant death ratio tends to be far lower than for other signatory nations who prosecute a war. They are achieving that low ratio in perhaps the densest urban battlefield on planet earth, with a foe that has an interest in having Israel kill civilians, and which doesn't give a fig for the Geneva code.

But I am appalled to discover that no matter how well armed one is with the facts, there are still people clinging more firmly to their false narratives than ever. People who should know better.
I think it is shocking how large a swath of the U.S. population, regardless of their politics, prefers ignorance over enlightenment.

QuirtEvansI don’t put a lot of stock in literal interpretation of Bible verses.
I don’t think anyone else should either.
But, if someone is looking for support for an existing viewpoint, Bible verses can be a great help.

I remember the Netanyahu quote re Amalek, though in context it seemed to be about Hamas. Some others in the government have said things far more insidious.
But what matters is what they do. Clearly, there is no intention of genocide. Do you have any idea how easy it would be for them to kill 10,000 people an hour, around the clock?
They dropped 6,000 bombs in the first week of fighting. Each of those could have killed many hundreds had that been their intention.

NinaThis entire thing has been an exercise in the power of disinformation and ignorance.
It runs both ways. Pro-Palestine people say that photos and videos have been faked, and media is corrupt. Pro-Israel people say the exact same thing.
