I received a jar of this stuff in my Christmas stocking. I've been putting it on everything and it's the most interesting seasoning I have ever used. It's hard to describe.
It doesn't really impart a taste of it's own - it makes things more savory while smoothing out flavors. Meats taste meatier. Vegetables have more flavor. It's really remarkable in chili - makes all of the flavors blend better.
There really isn't much in it - powdered mushrooms, mustard seed, red pepper flakes, thyme, but it really does improve flavors.

They had an umami seasoning paste a couple of years ago that came in a tube. IIRC, it was a blend of tomato paste, anchovy paste, soy sauce, and a few other heavy-duty umami providers. It made a great addition to sauces and gravies. Unfortunately, it seems to have disappeared before I could buy another tube.

Finally remembered to buy some TJ's Umami Powder. Great stuff, though I wish the ratio of salt to mushroom powder swung more in the direction of the funghi...
Aalso picked this up because I was weak (and lazy to boot):
