The knock-on effects are going to be brutal. Restaurants don’t reopen. Workers flood the job market. Rent doesn’t get paid ... the landlord can’t pay its bank loan, and defaults. Which will hit smaller banks hard.

I expect to see large, large drops in the rental prices for commercial storefront space suitable for restaurants. It may take many years to recover.
