| "African-American English" was called Black English Vernacular twenty years ago. I wonder what it will be called twenty years from now.
No matter. I'd like to make the point that blacks have as many ways of speaking American English as whites.
BTW, the big question we had in college was (I kid you not): "What comes after postmodernism?" Apparently nothing. I've given up waiting for it.
