wtgWhat do you think of this house?
I love the landscaping and yard but I think it might be too noisy because it's at the intersection of a couple of what look to be busier roads.

MikhailohI would steer clear of golf course communities. A couple of them here have found the courses unable to stand financially and you end up with more housing behind you rather than a course. Golf interest seems to be declining .

That's interesting. Many golf communities require you to buy in, and the community owns the course. In that case, I would presume you would get a say in what happens if the golf course part of the endeavor ceases to be financially worthwhile. Since lots of people back up to fairways, that would form a big coalition against fill-in development, and for something else, like reforestation.

Mary AnnaTwo pipe organs!
We could probably get a few WTFers to chip in on this, so that we can all be together for The End Times.
What pieces should we play on those organs for The End Times?

That only works if those people are all willing to continue to pay the maintenance fees.

ShiroKuroI read something recently(ish) about all the problems with houses on golf courses, among other things, the point about interest in golf declining was one contributing factor... I don’t recall all the rest, but I remember thinking I definitely would not want to buy a property like that.

Steve MillerLooks like this is it:
Built in the 1960's with no garage, the lot was dug down to create a walkout basement and the seawall was built some 6 years ago. Current owner is a (very fussy) contractor who tore off all of the plaster, re-wired, re-plumbed, installed new windows, insulated, roofed and built the garage (25 x 30!) about three years ago. New HVAC too, and a dog yard.
Front is kind of plain. Needs some landscaping. It's the first house I've seen in Ohio with a complete irrigation system.
Rear yard:
