She always preferred projects and presentations rather than tests while in elementary and middle school... Her extra credit work always made up for her lower test scores. Won some art awards. Played harp. Sang in the choir. Did some video work in high school on her own.
Went to Columbia College in downtown Chicago to focus on media and marketing and graduated in 3 years by taking classes over the summer term - she couldn't wait to 'get on' with life! She always managed to take a drawing/painting class - people would try to talk her into being an art major.
Columbia isn't a great school but is perfect for a very self-motivated student determined to make connections with all of the instructors in the industry. The funny thing is that she is really an introvert, so needs plenty of time to recharge after 'putting herself out there'.
