pianojugglerAcosta is OUT!
So, yet another department will flounder through the last couple years of the I-1 administration with an acting director.

wtgThis came out shortly after Acosta's press conference.

pianojugglerMr. Acosta should be behind bars, as well.
Mr. Epstein's lawyers are arguing for bail, to let him live at home until trial instead of in jail. Ummmm... if there was ever a living definition of "flight risk", it would be Jeffrey Epstein.
Many other people who solicited, groomed, scheduled, and transported Epstein's victims need to be charged, as well. First on the list would be Ghislaine Maxwell.

NinaFrom a Dept of Labor perspective (leaving aside his despicable actions in Florida), Acosta was viewed as more middle of the road than most of the others in leadership positions at DOL. His successor will be the Deputy Sec'y of Labor, Patrick Pizzella, who is very "pro-business" (read: anti-labor). I am assuming the changes to the overtime threshold law that Obama proposed are out the window entirely. Unions will not be happy, but then again that's been true since Trump took office if not before.

pianojugglerMaybe that was the plan all along.
Of course, Acosta only got it after Pudzer crashed and burned. So we know what sort of person I-1 wanted in the first place.

wtgIt might just be the angle, but at first glance this looks like a bit odd...
And to Nina's point about Pizzella:
