Pixel 4a, see you later
The battery is dying on my 10 month old Pixel 4a. It's routinely sinking into the 60-69% range within a few hours of mixed use.

This might or might not be within an expectable range. I don't know. I don't like it, though. It doesn't seem to bode well for being able to keep the phone for 4 or 5 years.

I don't have any other criticisms. It's a nice phone other than its battery life (btw, Battery Saver is turned on 100% of the time and I don't play video games).

So, I'm going to but a Samsung A 3x, 3x 5G, 5x, 5x 5G.

I want an AMOLED screen and as much battery life as possible.

Advice welcome.

BTW, I miss my Samsung S7.

Big John has or had a phone that he said was mostly battery. Maybe he will add something.

I have had the Galaxy S10+ 5G for over a year and it has a great battery life. All day long and then some.

Maybe you have apps running that are draining your battery.

Here's a checklist to walk you through the process of looking for battery drainers....might want to jump to Battery...it's down the list a ways....

What WTG said.
Settings > Battery > Battery usage

Also make sure you have the latest OS version, and you've rebooted recently. Check for hidden screens (how many browser tabs do you have open?)

I've also done things like turn off the bluetooth if I'm not in an area where I'm going to connect to a wi-fi, and turn off the cell connection if I'm wi-fi is totally available (like my house). Your phone keeps searching for a connection point if you keep them both on and one is unavailable, and this constant search eats up a lot of battery.

Hmm. 22 windows open. I best fix that right away.

Thanks for other tips too.

I'll tell you I want an AMOLED screen again...
