Why not? To keep cheese from getting moldy, take a paper towel, moisten it with cider vinegar — wet the whole towel, but wring out as much as you can — and loosely wrap the cheese in it, then put it in a bag. Most cheese will not absorb the flavor or smell of the vinegar. Else you can tell your guests that it’s supposed to taste like that.

I make my own beeswax wraps and use them for many things, including cheese. But I haven’t made new ones for awhile and mine aren’t in great shape. I’ll have to do another set!
