LOVE Redbud trees! They do grow here but for some reason no one plants them.

I planted one at a flip house and the new owner took it out.

Broke my heart.

Great specimen tree for the beautiful spring blossoms. Unfortunately they are bit boring the rest of the season, and no good fall color.

They are also disease prone (fungal cankers and verticillium wilt) and large branches can die and break off, leaving the tree looking quite lopsided.
