I’d guess there will be. I-1 is all about the image. He’ll orchestrate a perp walk with dozens of paid actors cheering support for him. He will look defiant and even victorious. Faux News will be there to cover every second of it.

I'm conflicted. This seems like a weak case in comparison to many others that could have been brought. The GOP is now rallying around him. And if he beats this, it'll be (politically) harder to initiate any other cases.

Just a guess:

One day it is announced that the Grand Jury is taking a one-month recess. A day or so later, it is announced that I-1 is being indicted.

I’m guessing they gave the members of the Grand Jury a day to get out of town. Some of I-1’s supporters are know to make threats of violence and death toward anyone who stands in the way of their Dear Leader.

Cognitive dissonance alert: why would they issue death threads toward members of the grand jury when it's Biden's fault?

I'm sure the GOP will rally behind him. Milquetoast McCarthy already has. But I continue to live in my dreamworld that tells me that the majority of GOP voters are just sick of him. I include a large number of sitting GOP senators and republicans who don't have the cajones to say anything.

The big loser in all this? DeSantis. The Trumpies who might have supported him will abandon him in favor of the OG, who will most likely get the nomination but is very unlikely to win a fair general election at this point. The wildcard? SCOTUS.

Pardon me while I weep crocodile tears.
