I used to feel safest flying on Boeing planes as opposed to the alternatives.

I don't think I'd feel the same way today.

It’s either Boeing or Airbus. Slim pickings!

I know, right?!

I'm old enough to remember flying on McDonnell Douglas planes. I remember them as being very solid and quiet in the cabin even when landing. I don't know anything about their safety record.

I think all or almost all the airlines I remember are also gone.

Pan Am
TWA
Eastern
National
Piedmont

I flew with all of these companies starting in about 1969.

Eastern was the main carrier from NY to FL. Disney in Orlando had a ride sponsored by them. I'm sure many here remember it. Lol. National was a competitor. Piedmont was the airline I remember from traveling to NC. I don't know if it's still here.
