NinaAnother weekend cowboy. The guy is from Alabama. He's (or was, he retired) a big mover and shaker in the solar industry in Arizona.
It's interesting that this is occuring at the same time as Sarah Palin's libel (or is it defamation) suit against the NYT for suggesting she "incited" her crazy supporters to go shoot Gabby Giffords in the head just because she ran a campaign ad showing Giffords in a rifle sight's crosshairs.
Also "all in good fun," right, P*D? gaaah
I've been semi-following the NYT lawsuit. There are so many things it's bringing up for me, it's as if I have Palin ptsd (probably do, for what it's worth). Three things remain in my mind, though:
1) At issue, from what I can tell, is that the NYT editorial board used the word "incite" or variations thereof, not once but twice. They should have used a more passive phrase, like "appeared to suggest..." I guess.
2) The articles in question were
op-eds--you know, opinion pieces. I guess SP and here minions are conceding the fact that her people can't distinguish news from opinion.
3) The NYT publicly retracted (and perhaps apologized) within days of the publication. Scratching my head and trying to recall any time that the Fox bloviators have retracted any of their outright lies. They don't have to, apparently, because it's just
opinion (and entertainment).
