That's quite some computer learning magic right there.
Reading through some of the comments on YouTube, the mechanical design is also interesting. Finding the "shortest path" is one thing, but it's also important to be able to get through that shortest path quickly. So there's lot of tricks put into that tiny machine to make it turn really fast, start/accelerate and decelerate/stop really fast, too. Apparently there's a lot of science going into that one little mechanical mouse.

Piano*DadI suspect many militaries are figuring out ways to use small devices like that to penetrate foreign facilities to deliver precision munitions ... alas.
