I'm doing my part. Interestingly enough I watched a documentary of Indiana's max security prison. I found it odd that a number of the inmates had cats.

Ours just got some new toys this week, both electronic. One is a track tube in a loop that has a light up ball that can move on its own, the other is a mouse kind of feather thing under cloth that goes round and changes direction, starts and stops. They love 'em.

Yeah, like 300 NPR readers who write to NPR are representative of the general population. ![]()

Is anyone else following Jorts the Cat on Twitter? He is a sweet orange tabby, or at least his writer makes him out to be sweet. And pro-union.

The union posts are whatever. But I love the simple sweet cat affirmations. I don’t think my cats are as kind as Jorts purports to be.

Back when the comic Garfield was relatively new, it was carried in the Chicago Sun-Times. Someone decided it was an unnecessary comic and they nixed a renewal of their contract. They received several thousand complaints. I remember the cover note when they restored the series. They suggested that a controversial editorial might result in a couple of dozen letters. They knew they made a mistake - and reprinted all of the daily strips they missed. Don't mess with cat people. | |||

They are usually not quite this chummy. but they wrestle, chase and share toys more and more. Not sure quite what they are looking at, but it's the first time they have shared the coveted purple blanket. ![]() ![]()

One of our cats seems to stir up less of an allergic reaction. He was called a Himalayan at the pound where we found him. His hair feels different. It is finer and softer than any cat I have been around. He was neutered at 11 or twelve weeks. I avoid the other cat. She has the typical cat hair. Her hair is like that of the stray that had kittens frequently when I was a child. I react more strongly to her.
