BeeLadyWhen someone you know posts ****
I have someone I know from HS who is a friend on FB..She posted a NY Post article on the malaria drug..the title was total click bait..
NY Post Article I called her out on it, quoted the article that was in conflict with the headline but she demurred...still the post is up.
My only hope is that my citing of the facts would help, yet still her headline post is still there...
What do you do to refute such posts?
I am considering reporting it to FB.

DanielI don't understand why you want to report her. Did she violate FB's rules? I'm not on FB. I don't know anything about its rules.
In any case, The New York Post is a tabloid.

MikhailohI am reminded of Hercules trying to shovel out the Augean stables. There’s just too much crap out there.

ShiroKuroPeople cannot be “corrected” unless they are open to it. When the medium is FB that increases a thousand-fold.
You might share a more reliable source, both in her thread and in your own post, but beyond that probably the only solution is to let it go.
Having said that, if she sees your post, and reads it, she may eventually come around. But probably not in response to a direct confrontation.

MikhailohBut you know, I made that comment about the stables, then realized that just yesterday I corrected someone.
They posted a meme about how Bloomberg spent a billion on his presidential run but is nowhere to be found today, which is untrue. He donated $40 million to fight covid and his foundation has spet $2.5 billion on public health initiatives.
So I guess you can hand me a shovel.

CHASI keep a few FB "friends" that post far right wing carp. It helps to know what they believe and follow.
Some I will correct, others are not worth the trouble.

MikhailohI corrected another one this morning. Someone read a satire site and thought it was real.
To paraphrase the Bible, 'the stupid will always be with us'.
