Mom has lung cancer...

Went in for what we thought was pneumonia a couple weeks ago. Scans showed shadows...

Waiting for biopsy results, but the oncologist is pretty sure it is going to come back mesothelioma.

Mom tells us that she has been blessed to have made it to 85. Got a drain installed today (hmm, that doesn't sound quite right!!) so that as fluid builds up, she can get relief without having to go in to the hospital.

Watching and waiting to see how this next chapter unfolds. MrsTuner and I live closest of all the kids, so we will be running point. Both brothers coming in to town this week to be present.

I’m sorry, Ron. I hope you and your siblings can work together to make sure Mom is comfortable and happy. She sounds like quite a trouper. Love her attitude!

I'm sorry to hear this news. We're going through this with Carol's mother who after having had colon and pancreatic cancers - now has metastasis to the lung and brain. A recent brain surgery has not produced the desired outcome.
