Interesting. I'm not trying to be a smart ass but I wonder what we should call 18-24 year olds.

Z+1?

My point is these categories are somewhat arbitrary. There can be a new generation every 18 years or less.

I've heard them referred to as 'iGen'. The little kids being born now are being referred to as Generation Alpha. Kind of creepy name, if you ask me.

While it's true that every generation shares some common experiences, and is the "first" at some of them, to paint them all as thinking, believing or behaving in the same way is something I personally find insulting. It's no different than saying, "all Blacks are...," "all women are.....," "all Mexicans are...."

Off my soapbox now. Smiler

The WW I Generation, WWII ("the greatest generation", the Baby Boomer Generation, Generation X (I can speak from experience), Generation Y, Generation Z, and Generation Alfa (thanks, Nina!).

WTF? It seems like there are generations named at an ever increasing rate.

/end rant

This author was on Fareed Zakaria's show this morning. Interesting take on milennials.
