Lot of that going on in Indiana.

Which reminds me - where is Big John? Where does Pence spend his spare time?

I’ll bet John knows.

I fear a Warren/Pete ticket would be a disaster.
Wish I knew a better alternative.

That's the ticket I've been tending to prefer (though Yang is a good candidate, I fear he's not well known enough).

OTOH I too fear Warren/Pete wouldn't be winning enough. Not sure the nation overall is ready for a married gay man (don't know why but the expression "openly gay" is starting to grate on me).

Considering winningness is THE litmus test of a desirable Dem team.

Why do you (CHAS) think they'd be a "disaster"?

PS I'm picturing a post-impeachment GOP ticket automatically flipping to Pence in the top slot. I fear that would be even more desirable to the Trumpians than Trump himself. Not only does he lack the most offensive traits of his present boss, but he's managed to avoid giving a clear message other than that of Boy Scout (including signalling Loyalty). Means he could start almost from scratch in branding.

Does this comment reflect your belief that the Dems won't come up with a winning ticket or that Trump will survive the impeachment effort - or both?

(Or something else - if so, what?)

He certainly won’t get convicted in the senate.

I’d say he’s more likely than not to win in 2020, though I obviously hope he doesn’t.

Veeps are generally chosen because they can bring vote blocs and/or states with them. Buttigieg has nothing to offer in that respect as the gay vote is unlikely to go for Trump. Warren/Ryan is much more likely.

To be honest the whole purpose of the thread was to tee up the Pence joke.

It was a good joke. Big Grin

I am a big Buttigieg fan, but even I'm not sure if he's potus-ready. I'd happily vote for him (or any Dem), though. BUT I agree that Warren and Sanders are unlikely to win over Trump.

Biden/Buttigieg?
