On COVID-19 social distancing grounds, I am glad that Melania does not blindly adhere to “tradition” in this case. Having been the VP’s spouse who presumably is already familiar with the inside of the White House and has good relationships with many former White House occupants, I doubt Dr. Jill Biden needs the house tour.

I take this as evidence she isn't planning to divorce The Donald in 2021.

It's not about the house tour. It's about transition.

But in this case I don't think it matters. It would be totally empty symbolism.
