I was at the Dr.'s office. I was checking out. My phone rang. It my Dad. He said my sister passed away in her sleep.
He said they think it might have happened Wednesday night.
My sister had been recently diagnosed with MS. She had crushed vertabrae in lower back from a systemic infection a few years ago that almost killed her. She had multiple Lyme's disease infection. Multiple attempts to treat it failed. They were using an IV to treat the Lyme's disease. It was contaminated and the cause of the systemic bacterial infection.
She's not in pain now. She's with our mother.
Might be needless to say but I am in a state of shock and grief.
So sorry to hear of your sister's passing, Daniel. It sounds like she had been suffering from an almost unbelievable number of ailments, all disabling and painful, even excruciating. Still her loss was clearly unexpected.
I am so sorry for all her suffering.
You might find sharing memories of her to be comforting, and I'm sure I'm not the only WTF friend who would be glad to listen. Had you been close? Were you only siblings? What was she like?

I'm so sorry, Daniel. I lost my youngest brother when he was only 37. He also had suffered a long time with chronic illness. It's not the right order of things when this happens. It can be very hard to come to terms with, especially if there was malpractice involved, or the sense that possibly there was someone to blame. Be gentle with yourself. Deepest condolences to you and your family.
