RIP Julian Bream

One of my mother's favorite records when I was growing up was Julian Bream playing Bach.

A few decades ago, I went to see him* in concert here. Took a woman on a first date. She slept through it. That was also our last date.

_______________
* Now I'm trying to remember if it was Julian Bream or Christopher Parkening. It might have been Parkening because he was channeling Segovia.

I took classical guitar lessons in high school -- until I broke my arm... I pick it up again after college but couldn't really get past a certain level and migrated to piano. Anyway, Julian Bream was someone I used to listen to a lot. This is a real loss for the music world.
