TJ's
It's back!

And a new (to me) product. I didn't buy a jar, but thought it might be of interest to y'all.

I bought Mary Anna a few bottles of that triple ginger last time I went.

My latest TJ's find ... Everything But the Bagel almonds and cashews. Sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and I think onion and garlic.

I had some of the ginger brew this afternoon. Smiler

I'm thinking it will make a nice cocktail to get me through election night. I made daiquiris for the last debate.

Last year I tried gin with the ginger brew; it was unexpectedly good.

Or maybe there's a Moscow Mule in your future....

We generally eat it on rice, but I think there are lots of "fusion" uses for it, like putting it on pasta or using it when doing chicken? I don't know because I only eat, don't cook....

Furikake:

Salad: A splash of mirin, a blurp of sesame oil, a generous sprinkle of furikake. I like the salmon one and the bonito one. Urashima makes a no-added-salt bonito one.

Sprinkle on scrambled eggs.

Sprinkle on popcorn.

Mix with mayo for dipping French fries.

Ginger beer:
Dark and Stormy
Moscow Mule
Kentucky Mule

YUM.

Furikake: a little sesame oil on a salmon fillet, sprinkled with furikake. Bake 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees, or til done.

Also yum.

Ooh, a couple more things to look for when I get to TJ's next.

My phys. therapy place is only a block away from TJ's. I think I am becoming addicted.

Not TJs, but extremely addictive. You'll thank me later.
