Mine does that too, and doesn’t accept my Medicare supplement. I’m switching over to Sharon’s dentist.

Too bad. My current dentist is about as painless as any I can imagine. My CA dentist was a complete hack.

I'm feeling lucky with my dentist. I don't think I've had any upselling, though I did have to replace some old amalgam (is that the word? silver) fillings that were literally over 50 years old and crumbling.

I did pop for the mouth guard at his recommendation, after he showed me where I was wearing down my teeth (and even had a hairline crack) from grinding. I'm now on my second one because, guess what? I do grind my teeth! I've literally worn one out from grinding. I can only imagine what I was doing to my teeth.

Some of the other things you all are talking about sound totally horrible/infuriating.
