Hurricane headed straight toward Tampa 3 main counties

Had mandatory evacuation.

Holed up with SO, sister, sister's husband, and mother.

This address will be under mandatory evacuation order at 7 am tomorrow.

Sister and her husband will not leave.

Mom wants to stay with her daughter.

SO seems to want to stay with his mother.

Sister's husband doesn't want us here.

I don't want to be here.

I want to get a hotel room.

I might want to go back home if I have to ignore mandatory evacuation orders anyway.

I finally became a homeowner. If I might die in a flood of 10 feet, I might rather die at home.

Families are wonderful. The politics of families just aren't in my experience.

On a related "where did the ocean go?" note...

We were watching Weather Channel and they had a camera on a bay where a bunch of boats were tied up to a dock.

"Before" picture shows the boats floating in water.

"After" picture shows them sitting in mud.

Just saw news footage of a fire station in Naples. The firefighters were up to their waists in water. Trucks partially submerged, too.

Going back today.

Don't expect any damage.

No rain forecast.
