An adjunct at the little college in my town tested positive.

The campus is a mile away. It’s where my son goes to summer camp.

Metro was completely packed this morning. Again.

I winder if other countries will have any sympathy when the virus comes for us in a big way.

I’m sorry to hear this!

Has the boy’s school said anything about their plans?

So, today I get a call from a friend, a mom in my town who has a son my son's age and a kid in high school and a third home from college.

Her husband is quarantined with symptoms. He works at a smallish Westchester law firm that had another guy test positive.

She found this all out last night and called the superintendent. Super says kids can come in to school even though Dad is quarantined. My friend is like WTF? And Super says there are 'several' quarantined parents in the district.

SO this little school (~400 students in K-5) has 'several' kids of quarantined parents in it!

I had already emailed the principal this morning to let her know I was going to pull the boy out this week (I was thinking tomorrow). But now he's officially out.

For the record, my friend kept her kids home. All 5 of them are getting tested today. The health department is coming to their house in hazmat suits!

It's the right thing to do.

I'm keeping you in my prayers, along with the Jodis, during this outbreak.

May we all come out on the other side, as unscathed as possible!

Glad you are keeping him home.

What's the matter with the heads at the school. Grrrr....

Glad the mom has some sense.

You know, they initially told me I could go out and about as long as I wasn’t feeling sick even though Steve was sick (this was before they decided we would get tested) but I said no way.

By the way Jodi I told this friend about your experience, and warned her about the nasal swab... shared your description and everything.
