I didn't find Shrinking sad so much as human. The arc was always toward the good.

Now watching Diplomat, Foundation and Star Trek Strange New Worlds. STSNW is preachy, but so was the original.

Mostly we are watching the Reds play this summer, but I still need a hour a day show for cardio time.

We’re watching Lincoln Lawyer and I think it’s excellent!

Great plots, very stylish.

Me, too.

It feels like what the people who made the original series in the 1960s would have done if they'd had a bigger budget, access to modern special effects, and approval from the network to go even deeper into social commentary.

Mik's not wrong that it's sometimes preachy, but when it comes to a message like, "You know, if we tried harder, we could make things a lot better for everybody," I'm willing to roll with it. Even with the series' portrayal of the 23rd century's progress toward social utopia, they still felt like we were going to have to pass through WWIII to get there, so that takes a bit of the sheen off the hope for a bright future, but we've survived the 1990s without the predicted Eugenics Wars, so maybe we'll dodge that one, too.

Speaking of science fiction predictions, Asimov said that if a species survived fifty years after its first nuclear bomb, then its odds for long-term survival were good.

On days when the news isn't good, I comfort myself with that one.

Just finished S2E3. I thought it was going to be a tired rehash, but it was actually quite brilliant.

I agree, Mary Anna. SNW is the best of the spin-offs ever.

We just finished the first season of Dark Winds. I loved it. There were a few squeamish moments but worth getting through.

The landscape made me homesick.

My wife is watching Breaking Bad on Netflix. I saw only a couple of episodes when it was on cable, so now I’m watching most of it with her.

I don’t watch much TV except for the news channels.

I spend too much time on my phone. I think I need an intervention. A few years ago I swore I’d never get a smartphone.

Late to the party but we are watching The Bear. I can’t believe how great it is and don’t know why I didn’t watch it sooner.

I never watched Big Bang Theory and have added it for evening light viewing. We are about 6 episodes in (they are short!) and have gotten a chuckle many times!

If you have Netflix, drop whatever you're doing and check out Fisk. You will thank me later.

We are rematching (modern) Doctor Who since the new episodes are coming out (the first was last Sunday and it was amazing!)

We are also watching Masters of Sex and really liked the first season but now are in the third season and aren’t loving it. If you’ve seen it I’ll just say this: the gorilla? What was that about‽

The new season of Slow Horses is out. We loved the first two seasons so are looking forward to it!

Murder at the End of the World on Hulu.

For All Mankind on Apple TV.

I like the Taylor Tomlinson and Iliza Schlesinger comedy specials on Netflix. Iliza Schlesinger has clearly studied older generations of stand-up comedy (I see Robin Williams’ physical movement and timing in some of her performances).
