This seems like propaganda to me. There's not reputable news source that gets a hit on either the new (female) name, or the old (male) name of the perpetrator. Not for the original crime reference in the article, nor any other aspect of the story.
In addition, the source for this seems to exclusively show headlines that read like right wing clickbait.

Interesting. His victims were children. I wonder how he’ll fare in a prison full of adult women. Perhaps it won’t be the walk in the park he’s expecting.
