Ugh. I am beyond unenthusiastic about Biden. Make no mistake, he'll get my vote come Nov. But ugh.

Here's hoping he picks a really kickass running mate!

He's already said he's picking a woman. My money's on Amy Klobuchar.

You're probably right. I still wish it would be Warren though. Ah well.

Still, I'll vote for Biden+whoever regardless.

I just hope we as a country get to Nov. election day with none of the scary "worst case scenarios" that keep popping up in my imagination!

I have become a one issue voter now.

Universal Healthcare.

Until we get that, I will not be voting for people who do not make it part of their agenda.

That being said, I would rather vote for a rock, than vote for the dumpster fire we have now.

All understandable, especially that last sentence.

Voting for Biden may not get universal healthcare, but at least we don't go back to the Stone Age ... potentially forever, given the Republican penchant for vote suppression.

I realize you are talking about a hypothetical in which Biden wins. Having said that, the Republican modus operandi of voter suppression is in effect to a large extent now.

Leaving aside the problematic presidential election in 2004, and egregious examples of voter suppression in the midterms (e.g. the gubenatorial election in Georgia), the Republicans control the Supreme Court. We know from the presidential election in 2000 that the Supreme Court is the final arbiter in presidential elections. And, of course, the federal judiciary has been flooded with Republican judges by Trump and McConnell.

More to the point, Trump is an incumbent Republican president. Incumbent Republican presidents usually win re-election.

A good Choice, IMHO.

On second thought, maybe I should have said incumbent presidents usually win re-election.
