We have both. Have found that friends with small hands or who have arthritis prefer stemmed; they can't hang onto a stemless glass.

We have both but seem to opt for stemless for our use.

Prefer stemmed. Like the look, and don't want my hand warming the wine.

Stemmed. Can't teach an old dog new tricks. Stemless is just a glass.

Stemmed wine glasses for me. Those stemless ones, if rounded toward the bottom, always look like they’d be easily tipped over.

Exception: a casual Italian or Spanish restaurant where non-fancy wine comes in a small tumbler. Works for me!

I've solved this problem by drinking faster, before the wine has a chance to warm up....

Mr wtg's wine glass:

that's not the stemless I was referring to when I said we have both...

A plate of pasta, an oilcloth on the table, pour some wine in there, and you're all set!

We actually used to have a homey Italian place like that in our neighborhood.

If you are buying that fancy wine that comes in a bottle instead of a box, why do you need a glass at all?

You laugh, but box wine is on the rise. bota Box Old Vine Zinfandel is one hell of a bargain for table wine

My mom got really into this. The article below covers pretty much everything.

Everything about different glass shapes for different wines

There's also a reason for the different wine bottle shapes:

Different bottle shapes - and yes that's one huge typo

I have a strong preference for stemless. The main reason is that they are far less likely to be knocked over.
