Travels to Japan

My friend was in Japan recently for a conference. Her recap:

My favorite part of Japan were the people, who to a person were friendly, helpful and polite. Made me wonder what the hell happened to the US. I've attached a video of some of the sacred deer in Nara - even they are polite, bowing to ask for food! The country itself is beautiful once you get out of the congested cities. Maybe because it is mostly forested mountain - that's what you get for being a volcano. Below are photos of the Nijo-jo castle in Kyoto and an anti-anxiety spray I found in my hotel room that I thought I'd appreciate.

Maybe it’s “treat people/deer with respect, and they’ll do the same back.” We’ve really lost our way.

There was anti-anxiety spray in one of my hotel rooms recently; you’re supposed to spritz it on your pillowcase. I didn’t need it. It was either at the NYC Marriott Marquis, or Hotel Murano in Tacoma. Now that I’m visualizing, pretty sure it was NYC.
