Not for me at this stage of my life, but I'll bet it appeals to others of you - especially the horsie ones.

LOVE the treed approach, access, fireplaces and mixture of pastures and trees. Even a generator with main house. Gorgeous pond with waterfall, plus swimming pool.
And all those walk-in closets!

(No idea about zoning and utilities)

great homestead, residence and land

Even though it's just a fantasy, I'm sad to see a sale is already pending.

That looks a lot like my buddy's house down in New Braunfels. It only has 5 acres, but is worth close to a million due to proximity to Austin and Saan Antonio

“Perfect” and “Texas” in the same sentence?

I think their next step will be to become the nation’s first “mandatory carry” state. And if you find yourself with an unwanted pregnancy…

Texas? No flippin’ way.

Lots to like about this house (expect, as PJ points out, its location).

But I don't think the roof and the front door match.

/nitpick

I even looked up the town (300 residents), and see most of them are identified as "Evangelicals".

I figured it needed to come with a private heliport to get anywhere (also perhaps to dedicate an acre or so, for wind turbines to supply the electricity.)

That way if I lived there I could be isolated from the rest of the region. But, hey! Austin and San Antonio are nice and not THAT far.

(You might have to do without your beloved Costcos, true.)

I'm not crazy about the color scheme of the exterior, either, ShiroKuro (only like that front door). The yellowish bricks are especially off-turning.
