We can only hope it doesn't make the jump to people. Many disease do find a way.

And the genetics of pigs are notoriously close to the genetics of humans. Isn't that jump what happened with the swine flu? Which my daughter caught (and which, luckily, was no worse than a mild-to-medium case of the regular flu)?
