Fascinating how Ukraine has done exactly what many military strategists thought was dumb (divert high quality resources away from stopping the Russians in the Donbas) and caught the Russians completely off guard on their home territory. I haven't a clue how this will play out, but I'm watching with great interest.

I am applauding the invasion by Ukraine.

It looks like the Ukrainians are currently on a roll. Good for them. I suspect that Ukraine is using a copy-cat strategy and reciprocating what the Russians have done to them. Ukraine wants to divert Russian troops away from the fiercely contested eastern part of the country. Ukraine probably also wants to capture as much Russian territory as they can and then use it as a bargaining chip if and when cease fire negotiations should begin. Trump has said that if he should win, he would end the war.

They're going after the logistics hubs and forcing Russia to divert a lot of troops to defend the homeland. I hope they are greatly successful.
