Credit where credit is due.

The recently-retired chief of police of Camden took over a troubled department, and his first act was to fire every officer. He then re-hired some and started an ultimately successful campaign to reform the agency.

He has been the subject of articles that praise his efforts and document his results.

Maybe some other police depts around the nation could hire him as a consultant? This thread notwithstanding, I don’t like what I’m seeing of police behavior in a lot of more recent news reports.

I wish I could feel that.

I am distraught at how things are unfolding, and in particular at all the examples of police behaving badly towards protesters. It seems to me that the images in this thread are the exception rather than the rule. Frowner
