This one. Steve also uses it when he plays bassoon with the symphony.
does not damage the piano (has rubber inside the clips - you could always line it with felt if you were worried) No cord to mess with.

Has two brightness settings. Charge lasts a long time. Highly recommend. Amazon has it cheaper than that website. $15.99
And easy to unclip - so take it off your music desk and close up your piano - no problem. I won’t ever use a big lamp again.

So there was a very tiny girl at the piano. Lights would shine right in her face.
I am not tiny and would not want to see the lights. Does it lower more? I remember shining bulbs in my eyes as a student. Ugh.
I use an antique wrought iron lamp. The light has a shade and adjust up and down the pole, and tilts as needed. The base is a triangle so I can bring it close or back further as needed and it doesn't tangle in the piano leg.

.
The arm is infinitely adjustable - you can curve it right towards the music, and it will not shine in your eyes.

Oopsie, I do not own that piano lamp. I just found and used it as an example image of what I was talking about. Mine is your basic pole on a single curved pole version. I still love it, though. And it was kind of spendy. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I wouldn't be shocked to find out it was over $100. I got it at the same time as I bought my good piano bench, in a "I don't think this is a passing fad" moment after I bought the new piano.
This is like mine, only mine has bronze, not nickel metal:

Yeah, I don't think I can go that route...
I'm leaning toward a floor lamp with a joint so the lamp head (which is like a stick? bar?) comes right over the center of the keyboard.
