Years ago I met guitar builder Michael Thames at the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge and followed to his Earthship home. In his bright living room he told me he was building lutes for Germans that came to order them. Then we spent a while in his shop where I selected the woods for the rosette and the rest of the guitar.
The home was spacious and light and bright. A kitchen window showed Tres Orejas Chöten https://greatmiddlewaybuddhist...rg/stupa/riogrande/, one of the stupas built on the same line of longitude as others in New Mexico and Colorado.

The earth ship community is an all-in experience. Very few people are willing to be all-in. It's a tiny niche.
