I've mentioned my friends who have been bitching about Pritzker's stay at home orders and complaining about really important stuff like the stupid rules that are interfering with their golf game.

Ms Friend is someone who, if a doctor tells her to be back for a checkup in X years, she'll be back in X years and always in the same month that the last one was done.

Three years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and her doctor recommended a mastectomy. She ended up deciding to have a double mastectomy because of her history (she had a CIS removed several years prior and decided to try to reduce her risk of more recurrences). Never batted an eyelash about going through that surgery. Got it done and moved on with life.

She was due in March for a routine screening colonoscopy. She has been making arrangements to have it done in the next week or two, now that elective procedures like these are opening back up.

Today she was bitching about instructions she got regarding COVID-related things she has to do before and after the colonoscopy.

She has to have a COVID test, has to self-quarantine at home for three days before the colonoscopy, and is supposed to self-isolate from other members of the family for six days after. The only other person in the house is her husband.

You would have thought that the world was ending the way she was going on about how stupid this all is.

She'll follow doctors' instructions about everything else, but when it comes to COVID, she just doesn't see it.

There is a lot of that going around.

It is just a hoax anyway, why let the liberal media control us?
